Our director, Rosslyn Charlesworth (Founder), has been school principal for over 55 years. Rossyln is a life member and fellow of the Imperial Society Of Teachers Of Dancing [London]. She is also a Fellow of Cecchetti Ballet Australia and is qualified to teach Cecchetti candidates at all levels.
Rosslyn keeps abreast of all developments in dance by regularly attending relevant seminars, courses, conferences and workshops. In addition, she is active as an adjudicator at Dance Competitions and is much sought after for assessing at other schools of dance.
Rosslyn studied with Madam Saranova, Kathleen Gorham, Paul Hammond and Peggy Sager. She has toured Europe, attended the Cologne International Summer School Of Dance and invitational seminars for professors of dance with internationally renowned Marika Besobravosa of the Ecole de Danse Classique de Monte Carlo.

Monique Fox

Monique is a member of the Commonwealth Society Of Teachers Of Dance Incorporated, Australia with 30 years teaching experience. She has danced professionally both here and overseas. Monique has studied at the Rosslyn Charlesworth School Of Ballet and Dance, GITAS and Bolshoi schools in Russia and with the Vienna State Opera.
She has successfully trained students for examinations, productions and competitions in classical, tap, and jazz. Monique is our chief choreographer for our annual Cabaret Events, designing and arranging ideas, items and costumes. She has also directed and choreographed school concerts and productions, and worked as a dance teacher at the Peninsula Special Developmental College.
Recently, Monique trained with the world renowned Contemporary choreographer Jason Winters and will be introducing his new syllabus into the school.
As well as being an accomplished teacher, Monique is a choreographer and is in great demand as an adjudicator.
Robyn Begg
Robyn is an incredible asset to the CWDC teaching family. Having been a teacher for our Mt Waverley and Aspendale Gardens studios for a number of years now, Robyn has cemented herself as a much loved member of the dance school.

Robyn was a professional dancer for ten years, before transferring into her administration role with The Australian Ballet. In 2018 and 2019 Robyn was Artistic Coordinator/Executive Assistant with The Australian Ballet. In 2016 she was contracted to The Australian Ballet Storytime and was Principal Artist in 2017 and 2018. Robyn was also a Seasonal Artist with the West Australian Ballet in 2012, 2014 & 2016. Alongside this, Robyn has been teaching contemporary, classical, jazz and yoga for many years.
Aine Moroney
Aine is a recent full-time dance graduate from Jason Coleman’s Ministry of Dance. Aine has performed in front of live audiences, on camera and has worked with highly regarded Australian choreographers. Her biggest professional achievement was performing at the ICC T20 Men’s World Cup Final in 2022 in front of an MCG crowd of 85,000. Aine is skilled in dance styles including Jazz, Commercial, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre as well as ballet, contemporary and acrobatic training.

Selena Lee
Selena has been part of our Charlesworth Walsh Dance community for over 20 years, and has grown up being taught at the dance school. Selena has background in many dance styles, but her passion is in classical ballet, which she still learns and performs. With a Bachelor in Health Science (majoring in naturopathy and human anatomy), Selena has a thorough understanding of the human body and the way it moves as well as the impacts of food on sports performance. Selena has been teaching with Charlesworth Walsh for many years mainly in ballet and junior jazz and tap. As well as teaching at Charlesworth Walsh, Selena often runs ballet programs for not-for-profit organisations and neighbourhood houses for communities of all ages to attend and learn the joy of dancing. Selena has completed both her Advanced 1 and 2 Cecchetti examinations, achieving honours, and is currently pursuing her Cecchetti Associate Diploma.
Lochlan Erard
We’re thrilled to welcome back Lochlan in 2024! Lochlan brings a wealth of experience to the dance school. His professional dance training includes a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, Musical Theatre, and Show/Business. In particular, Lochlan’s teaching experience covers styles such as Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballet as well as strength and stretch.

In addition to Lochlan’s excellent teaching experience, he is also a successful choreographer, dancer and performer. In 2023 alone, Lochlan held roles in James Terry Collective’s production of Kinky Boots the Musical, CentreStage’s Priscilla: Queen of the Desert as well as Dance Captain for the production of Midnight: The Cinderella Musical. This, on top of many roles that span musical theatre, film, television and more.
Nicole Papazois
Nicole studied Full Time dance at Ministry of Dance, completing both a Certificate IV in Dance, Dance Teaching and Management, as well as her Diploma in Dance.
Nicole’s training spans all dance styles, but she specialises in choreographic work for Street Dance styles and Hip Hop.
Nicole also has teaching and choreographer experience with a number of other dance schools.
