As an alumni of CWDC, Ashleigh is thrilled to be able to pass on her knowledge and love of dance to the next generation. With degrees in Arts and Science, Ashleigh uses her depth of knowledge of human physiology to bring the most out of her students.
Ashleigh was a competitive dancer for many years while training at CWDC, competing in solos, duos and troupes in all dance styles. Ashleigh also danced in the elite ensemble at the Victorian State School Spectacular, and had the fantastic opportunity to dance with industry professionals in both London and Paris in 2018. Ashleigh has received her Cecchetti Advanced 1 certificate with honours and is currently pursuing her Cecchetti Associate Diploma.
Ashleigh teaches all styles and ages at CWDC, and also runs our CWDC Solo Team, working one on one with students to help them excel and compete at very high levels at dance competitions throughout the year.

Our director, Rosslyn Charlesworth (Founder), has been school principal for over 55 years. Rossyln is a life member and fellow of the Imperial Society Of Teachers Of Dancing [London]. She is also a Fellow of Cecchetti Ballet Australia and is qualified to teach Cecchetti candidates at all levels.
Rosslyn keeps abreast of all developments in dance by regularly attending relevant seminars, courses, conferences and workshops. In addition, she is active as an adjudicator at Dance Competitions and is much sought after for assessing at other schools of dance.
Rosslyn studied with Madam Saranova, Kathleen Gorham, Paul Hammond and Peggy Sager. She has toured Europe, attended the Cologne International Summer School Of Dance and invitational seminars for professors of dance with internationally renowned Marika Besobravosa of the Ecole de Danse Classique de Monte Carlo.
Selena Lee
Bachelor of Health Science

Selena has been part of our Charlesworth Walsh Dance community for over 20 years, and has grown up being taught at the dance school. Selena has background in many dance styles, but her passion is in classical ballet, which she still learns and performs. With a Bachelor in Health Science (majoring in naturopathy and human anatomy), Selena has a thorough understanding of the human body and the way it moves as well as the impacts of food on sports performance. Selena has been teaching with Charlesworth Walsh for many years mainly in ballet and junior jazz and tap. As well as teaching at Charlesworth Walsh, Selena often runs ballet programs for not-for-profit organisations and neighbourhood houses for communities of all ages to attend and learn the joy of dancing. Selena has completed both her Advanced 1 and 2 Cecchetti examinations, achieving honours, and is currently pursuing her Cecchetti Associate Diploma, achieving honours in her part 1 exam in 2025.
Lochlan Erard
We’re thrilled to welcome back Lochlan as a workshop teacher in 2026! Lochlan brings a wealth of experience to the dance school. His professional dance training includes a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management, Musical Theatre, and Show/Business. In particular, Lochlan’s teaching experience covers styles such as Jazz, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Ballet as well as strength and stretch.

In addition to Lochlan’s excellent teaching experience, he is also a successful choreographer, dancer and performer. In 2023 alone, Lochlan held roles in James Terry Collective’s production of Kinky Boots the Musical, CentreStage’s Priscilla: Queen of the Desert as well as Dance Captain for the production of Midnight: The Cinderella Musical. This, on top of many roles that span musical theatre, film, television and more.
